COMSOL is seeking a Sales Assistant to join its sales team in Los Angeles, CA. As part of our team, you will use your business, sales, communication and interpersonal skills to help the sales team with the existing customers to continue their business with COMSOL. We sell our products to many of the top engineering and scientific teams throughout Southwestern US, Western Canada and Mexico. These range from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies to national labs to academic research teams and their activities cover a wide span of engineering disciplines. The successful candidate should be systematic, organized and detailed-oriented, demonstrating the ability to consistently follow up with the existing and previous customers.

This is a small-office environment in a rapidly growing, diverse company. As such, you will be entrusted with a broad range of responsibilities, allowing for personal and professional growth within the sales team.

Primary responsibilities

  • Prepare quotations for subscription renewal sales
  • Follow up with existing and previous customers by phone and email
  • Act as a back-up for other personnel during travel and vacations
  • Help the sales team proactively interact with prospects and customers to expand the business.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills on the phone and in writing
  • Excellent time-management skills – balancing multiple demands from many prospects
  • Must be able to effectively document communications
  • Positive, upbeat, outgoing personality
  • Current eligibility to work in the US
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferable, but not required
  • Prior sales or customer service experience is preferable, but not required
